If you find yourself in the frightening position of a foreclosure notice or just being several payments past due; please read the following instructions:

• Contact the lender immediately and request an extension.
• If you have your home for sale, contact your realtor and the lender.
• DO NOT pay anyone to "bailout" or "modify your loan" - if you have that kind of money, make your house payment!  Either a loan modification or a bailout would be entertained by the lender faster if you just contact them yourself.

• If your home is a Veterans Administration Loan, there are some alternatives from the VA for you.
